The large rectangular table top provides ample space for each of your guests, seating 8 comfortably as a standard. On the product page we offer the possibility of adjusting the dimensions to your needs to a length of over 2m, which will allow you to comfortably seat up to 10-12 people. Due to its thick metal base, the Wicklow table is an ideal choice for modern interiors in an industrial style. However, it can also be successfully used in more cosy arrangements. Especially the version with a white frame will be appreciated by lovers of Scandinavian, hygge or boho style.

Natural Oak (standard) - as a standard, our tops are left in the natural shade of wood. We protect them with colorless, matte coatings such as oil wax, varnish or oil. All of them beautifully emphasize the warm, natural color of oak. Visually, the difference between them is very subtle, but there are fundamental differences in daily use and the way they protect the wood. Below you will find their specifications.

Other available colors - we offer the possibility of choosing a different color version of the top, in which case the tops are always finished with lacquer. The template of available colors can be found at the bottom of the page.

Your color - match the color of the top to the furniture in your home. Send us a board, a piece of floor or cabinet, we will dye the top according to the pattern and send a color sample to you. The cost of shipping the sample with the color we suggest is 20 PLN.

Oil, varnish or oil wax - what type of countertop finish should you choose?

We protect our countertops with colorless, matt coatings such as varnish, oil or oil wax. All these types of countertop finishes beautifully emphasize the warm, natural color of the wood. Visually, the difference between them is very subtle, but there are major differences in everyday use and the way they protect the wood.

Oil The biggest advantage of the oil is its ability to enhance the structure and color of the wood. The oil penetrates into the wood, making it more resistant to mold and fungi nesting. The oils are composed of natural ingredients, thanks to which they are ecological and safe for people with allergies and children. The product not only stays on the surface, but also deeply moisturizes the boards - thanks to this, the wood does not dry out and crack. The downside is that in order to keep the countertop in good condition, the oiling process should be repeated periodically (every 3-6 months). Oiled worktops are also more difficult to keep clean than varnished ones and you need special cleaning agents to clean them.

Varnish protects the wood by creating a hard coating on its surface. An undoubted advantage of the varnish is the ease of everyday use. The varnish is very practical, easy to clean and does not require maintenance. Unfortunately, varnish is a chemical agent, it does not allow the wood to breathe, and over time it may peel and chip off. In such a situation, it is impossible to repair a fragment of the table top, you should sand the whole thing and recoat it with varnish.

Oil wax it'ss a colorless, hard coating based on natural oils and waxes. The oil penetrates the wood, hardens it from the inside, and the wax creates a microporous coating that protects the wood and allows it to breathe freely. Thanks to this, it regulates the absorption and return of moisture and helps to maintain a favorable microclimate in the interior, and at the same time effectively protects the wood against abrasion, dirt and water penetration. 
The electrostatic-neutral components of the oil-wax also prevent the wooden surfaces from attracting dust and electrifying as is the case with varnished worktops. The surface covered with oil wax is ecological, pleasant to the touch and easy to keep clean. Oil wax protects the wood against coffee, wine and cola stains and at the same time protects against abrasion. In case of damage, it can be easily renovated locally - without the need to scrape the whole thing.

Steel frame The table is based on a fashionable frame of 80 x 80 mm profile. Thanks to manual removal of the so-called seams, the frame is free of visible joints and delights with its precision and carefulness of execution. As standard, the frame is available in black or white, but you may change the colour to any RAL colour. 

Oak top Undoubtedly, the greatest decoration of oak dining table is its beautiful table top, made of solid oak wood. The table top has a delightful, naturally warm shade of real wood. It has natural cracks, knots and discoloration resulting from its anatomical structure. Knots are properly secured with black putty. Each table top is slightly different from the product shown in the photo. It is related to the specificity of the material which is wood. We will not find two identical table tops, as there are no two identical pieces of wood. Each model is a unique handicraft.

According to individual wishes, the table top can be varnished, covered with oil or oil-wax Osmo. We recommend the latter solution, because oil wax provides protection against food, wine or cola stains, protects against moisture, and at the same time is a natural product, devoid of chemical components. 

Table top edge You not only get to choose the type of finish, but also the type of edge. We offer an edge cut at an angle of 40 degrees, a straight edge (90 degrees) or the so-called oflis - a natural edge, the line of which follows the line of the tree from which the countertop was made.

Knot filling is the element that will give the final look to an oak top. Knots can be filled with black or transparent filler, or left unfilled.

Maintaining

To remove dirt, simply wipe the countertop with a dry cloth. Note: the use of aggressive cleaning agents such as solvents or rinse aid may damage the worktop. More information on the care of furniture with oak worktops can be found in the "use and care" tab.
